...from our homes! We opted for a slightly earlier finish to share an Easter beverage (or few) together via Zoom; we were actually lucky enough to have our very own pub quiz hosted by none other than Sam Pemberton-Hill, aka GKR’s ironman and Rose Lock (sporting a slightly questionable look including both a cap and whistle)… I’ll leave the rest to your imagination.
Amongst the chaos, deflecting the rays that seemed to be casting themselves from Lee Riley’s rather rouge complexion and not to be distracted from the hundreds of fridge magnets from all over the world in Grant Kaveney’s kitchen, it’s safe to say that we all had a good time and we all enjoyed each other’s company from afar. The importance of comradery and team spirit should not be forgotten during these times and it’s okay to have some fun, together, from a safe distance.
We also learnt a few things during the 90 minutes, some more prevalent than others but nevertheless we thought we’d share:
- Introducing your furry-friends is always a good idea.
- Recruitment consultants are a competitive bunch.
- Playback audio can really wind up a quiz master.
- Some of us need to work on our selfie “angles”.
- Fact checking first prevents healthy debate.
- Zoom is a great tool to virtually connect with and manage your teams!
