Our Property Management team:
The Property Management department was developed mid-2013 following investment from Hamilton Bradshaw to scale GKR. With GKR operating in Residential and Commercial Property for over ten years and having a team built around ex-property managers, estate agents and highly experienced recruiters, we have an incredibly impressive client base, and often we have access to candidates who aren’t actively looking in the market.

Senior Property Manager (HNW) - Exclusive Search
- GKR was tasked with the exclusive search for a new Senior Property Manager to manage a prestigious central London Estate.
- We approached our network for recommendations and presented a shortlist of five exclusive candidates within 8 days from instruction, all of whom came with references.
- We coordinated the interview process which involved various international interviewees, and the successful candidate was onboarded 6 weeks later.

- GKR was retained on an exclusive basis by the Director of the Knight Frank Promise department to secure multiple hires within an 8 week time frame.
- We allocated a member of the property management team to work solely on these roles using market mapping and insights to create the short list.
- We successfully presented 5 individuals for interview and this resulted in 5 fixed term placements being confirmed.
- The retained search allows us to dedicate our time and entire focus until we fulfil the terms of our agreement and with multiple hires required in a short time scale it was the only method to ensure success.
Leading Integrated Facilities Consultancy
Senior Commercial Property Manager - Exclusive & Retained Search
- GKR was retained on a search for a Senior Commercial Property Manager following several aborted searches over the course of a number of months.
- Working on a role that has had significant exposure over an extended period of time required a fresh approach and a bespoke search.
- We agreed a time frame to produce a short list and a strict timetable for 1st and 2nd interviews and the offer was issued and accepted within 6 weeks of the search commencing.
- This 1st placement led to the client requesting 2 more retained senior hires and we successfully secured the placements of a Residential Asset Manager and a Senior Facilities Manager.

Penny Janse van Rensburg
Penny joined GKR in 2026, working from Cape Town, South Africa, and bringing recruitment experience across the IT and Education sectors. She is part of GKR’s Property Management team, specialising in talent acquisition and supporting candidates and clients across the sector. Penny combines a broad recruitment background with a developing specialism in property and a strong focus on building effective candidate relationships.
Rose Lock
Rose joined GKR in 2018, bringing more than 20 years’ experience within the property sector across the UK and Spain. She has developed a strong network across property management and has played a key role in growing GKR’s presence within the sector. Rose combines extensive market knowledge with a highly focused and relationship-led approach to recruitment. Her expertise extends across the real estate management sector, including temporary and permanent recruitment, executive search and international outsourcing.
Peter Wallis
Peter joined GKR in 2019 to build and expand the professional services recruitment division across the commercial and residential real estate sectors. He focuses on leadership and executive roles across marketing, finance, legal, technology, and design. His deep network connects top-tier market experts with a wide variety of business consultancies, property developers, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and agencies.
Michael Woda
Michael joined GKR in 2014 as one of the company’s first key hires, bringing eight years’ experience within residential property and leading London agencies. He has played a central role in developing GKR’s residential recruitment offering and launched the company’s Edinburgh office in 2024. Michael now leads residential recruitment across the North West, working closely with clients and candidates as a trusted recruitment partner, including fast-growth strategies and executive search appointments across the region.
